where to go?

Hey guys, i'm new to this forum, becuase i just bought an 03 gti 1.8t & it's modified. I wan't to know what it all has, this is my first VW so i don't know much about them. Do you guys no of any good shops in Washington? also is it common for the check engine light to be on if the cars is chipped?

sorry, maybe you and run around the place or read some mag to find shops in your area for modding VWs

and whenever the check engine light is on, it ain't good, chipped or not
hopefully you didn't got ripped and bought a broken down GTI

its common for chipped cars to have aftermarket intakes, which would explain the CEL. take some pics of your car dude! haha and the engine bay, maybe we can get some of the mod naming knocked out ;) muhaha

o and another common source for CELs= downpipe/exhaust

and never ignore CELs (like alot of other people do)

yeah i never got a CEL yet for intake or exhaust... i got one once for forgetting to screw in a bolt (that held some sensor to the throttle body.. heh heh)
