Would it make sense after I just purchased a new Firerbird to turn around and trade it back in to get a V8 engine, sell it to a private party, or just keep it? I like the Ram Air and wished I would have gotten it but it is not offered on the base model.

I just spoke to my insurance company and if I upgraded to the Formula or Trans Am, the rate would increase $400 additional per year because those models are considered high performance and mine is considered standard performance. I guess I better hold on to what I got because I don't want to give them anymore than what i am already.

The depreciation value is not good after driving the car off the lot. I guess he had to come up with a big down payment.

I purchased a 2002 Pontiac Firebird five weeks ago and I traded it in for a 2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 today. I could not afford a current year model so that is why I bought it used for the value.

I was not completely satisfied with the muscle behind the V6 so I decided on a WS6 V8.

I hope to make this my last car purchase for a long time since the firebird model is going bye-bye by year end.

It is rare to find a model with a suite of features and especially the color but I was able to.

The only other feature I was aiming for was a 6 speed except that is nearly impossible when buying used so I settled for automatic.

Has anyone experienced a whole lot of benefits of 6 speed versus automatic?
