car dropping when i step on brakes?

I"ve noticed lately my car used to drop a little when i stepped on my breaks first in the morning
but now its being very sensitive all day
i had new rotars and brakes

could it be my shocks?

You are getting better stopping power since you put on the new brakes. If you replace the shocks you should see a change in the amount of dipping the car will do when you hit the brakes.

SisterSheryl before you get yourself into an accident dont replace the shocks on your car. The problem you are having is the rear brakes locking. This is a common problem with a lot of GM cars. Take it to a brake shop have them check the rear brakes. They will probably find that the rear wheel cylinders are leaking under the boots. Also check the rear brake cables for the E brake it's most likely frozen from not being used. Last but not least and the biggest problem of all is the rear brake return springs. Usualy when brake jobs are done most non informed mecahnics just put the old hardware back on. Not knowing that they wear out also. I learned all this working in dealerships and had to repair all the cars that everyone else forgot to check. As far as the shocks they have nothing to do with height (except for airshocks) they just absorb shock over bumps and potholes. The height of a vehicle is maintained by the springs and the springs alone. I hope this helps you before you have a major problem.
