My 99 Se with 64000 just decided today that it would not shift into fourth gear. All other gears work fine and shift as smoothly as the day I bought it with 16000 on it. Could a speed sensor be the likely culprit???
Please help, it's very frustrating to have a car that I make sure and do everything service wise on time and something like this happens...

Today I was driving it and the "O/D Off" dummy light started to flash. I have never even seen this light before, it is not one that shows when you start the car.....Could this be a sensor issue or what???? I am getting worried and of course it is the weekend and a holiday week coming up and it will be hard to get it in the shop.
Feedback Please!!!

Did the check engine light come on?
You might check the VSS (vehicle speed sensor)

No check engine light at all. Driving it today and no O/D off light either, but still no overdrive.
