I have a 1996 C/K 1500, and i'm going to replace the speakers, and I need to know how to get the door panels off in order to this. I dont have power windows or locks, if that makes any difference on how to get the door panels off.

there should be two screws in the handle and maybe a couple more by the door latch. After that, pry the door panel off with a door panel removal tool or a screwdriver if you don't care.

the window cranks might give you trouble. i can't remember what holds them on off hand. but usually theres a clip that you need a special tool for.

Ya those cranks are a real pain in the ass. I hear you can pry them off CAREFULLY with a big flathead.

The window crank is held on by a spring clip...Pain to get off, easier to get back on (if ya don't lose the clip)...

ya it is a spring clip holding the handle on. A flat head usually can get in there along with a various assortment of aggrivation and extra prying devices. Getting it back on is somewhat easier, tip to putting it on is put the clip halfway back onto the handle part before sliding it on.

The easiest way i have found to remove those spring clips is with a small hook tool kinda like a dental pick
