Worst (hunting) day in years!

Argh! Missed getting an eight pointer today. :banghead: Had that sucker in my sights and then it must have heard me take the safety off and it bolted right before I finished pulling the trigger. It was into the brush in the second it took me to rerack a shell.

Still lots of time in the season - I'll find him again. :grinyes:

You hunt them with a gun??? Well, that's your problem!
Around here, most people have luck hunting them with a car. Lots of collisions so far.

How freaking good venison sounds right now. My mouth is watering. Deer do have a defense, a hightened sense of hearing and very fast.
