Exhaust Note/Noise

I have a 1998 Ford Escort and was wondering if anyone else has a loud engine. The exhaust is very quite but the engine is awkwardly loud.

yeah, but mines also manual, so without the tach, I don't mind having a loud engine...I also have a kick-ass system to make up for it....

interior wise, yea the noise intrudes. open the hood, its pretty typical. its a nice sound when you push the engine hard, so enjoy! =)
