Skeaky under the hood?

Sometimes when I start my car up it skeaks loud for a while and it does this sometimes when I'm driving down the road. What is this. I'm not very good at figuring this out but maybe some of you guys have this too.

id say check ur belts

ohm meter will do fine!
thats why mine just went out,
took it like a month to go out thou,
but it skeaked when i let off the gas,in gear,

Why didn't you just change your belt before it fucked up... you might have saved some money?

yeah cheange your belt and if that doesnt help put some belt dressing on it and maybe thatll help.

I know that my alternater belt is fine caused I got a new belt and alternater about three months ago. I'm thinging it might be the timming belts cause it's always making slapping noises.

actually, just because you replaced something doesnt mean it isn't broken - just like buying a new alternator and it goes out a few months later cuz they remanufactured it wrong

i'd check all belts and tighten em up

I've changed the alternator belt 3 times!!!
I have all 3 & some 4 sale on classifieds,
but I just changed my alternator!
the regulator was bad in it,
still didnt stop the sqeak!
I'm changing my water-pump saturday,
before i goto the races on dec. 4th!
