If it aint one thing......

its a muthaf*ckin other...... I just had a similar problem about a month ago where my car was idleing irratically (97 EX IDLE PROBLEM thread), thanks to some good advice i changed the PCV Valve and the problem was resolved, now im having a very similar problem....When I am driving at a decent speed my RPMs will go from 3000 to 5 or 6000 and then drop down to 0...the car is still on but when i press the gas nothing happens, my engine doenst even rev up, if i throw it into a lower gear sometimes the RPMs will come back and sometimes they will not, i end up having to turn the car off and starting it up again and everything works fine...i suspect it has something to do with the fuel system but i am not positive...i dont have the money to replace anything right now so i bought some fuel injector cleaner and she seems to be running a little better, but still has problems at higher RPMs (4500-5500). Anyone have any suggestions about a possible solution?
