WHY WAS THE THREAD: "Would you need to upgrade your clutch on an automatic?" CLOSED?
ITS A LEGITIMATE QUESTION. THERE ARE CLUTCHES IN AUTOMATICS, MAYBE HE WAS REFERING TO THE TORQUE CONVERTER AND DIDN'T KNOW THE PROPER TERMINOLOGY? I THINK ITS PRETTY BAD THAT SOME PEOPLE FEEL THE NEED TO LAUGH AT A PERSON BECAUSE THAT PERSON COMES ON HERE (TRYING TO LEARN SOMETHING AND THEY KNOW LESS THAN MOST) AND POSTS SOMETHING RIDICULOUS TO US BECAUSE WE KNOW BETTER AND IT GETS CLOSED WITH NO HELP AT ALL; JUST LAUGHS......
OHH WELL THAT MY RANT FOR THE DAY, CARRY ON!

On the left side of your keyboard there is a button labeled "Caps Lock". Push it. Then get real. It was a dumb, flame-begging thread. Relax.

some automatics have a Torque COnverter Clutch and they also have clutch packs inside the transmission....
usually the T.C. clutch will break up, cause some chattering, and slowly destroy the transmission... other things go bad before the clutch packs do tho. so if your having a problem with some sort of "clutch" in your auto its probably the Torque Converter

maybe its just me but that guy kinda sounded like he had no clue what he was talking about.. if he knew about the torque converter (which is a major part of all high hp automatics) then he PROBABLY would have said "torque converter".. and if he DID know about the torque converter then he's an idiot for not saying it cause it makes him look like a complete tit and people laugh at him.. he would KNOW not to call it "clutch"

Maybe He Doesn't Know Much About Cars And Didn't Know What It Was Supposed To Be Called?

just to be naive, i don't think so.. if he knew that changing the clutch could be important after boosting your car, he would know the difference between autos and 5speeds

i cant stop laughing at the moderators post in that thread...freakin cracks me up. Anyway, most likey the question that guy asked was a newb question. Yes there are 1-way clutch systems in a TQ converter, but i believe the person who started that thread didnt even know about it. Thank goodness for moderators, i would have closed that thread to in hopes people will not dip their hands into the flaming that would occure later on.
