what color??

what color should i paint my hood?? its a 4" cowl and my car is flat black. any original ideas to make things stand out??

honestly, i think you should paint your car a gloss black, and put red heritage stripes on your hood and hatch, then put red on the headlamp inlet. i think that would look awesome, but i'm partial to heritage designs if u can't tell by my car...

Well, if your hell bent on keeping your car flat black, you could paint your hood flat red or blue (whatever color), then mask off a 3-4" border that goes down the sides and across the front and paint that border flat black. Then blend the two paints together at the seam. I think that would look cool. If you completely paint the hood a different color, it will look like an afterthought, this would tie it to the rest of the car.
