04 Malibu Start Up Problem!

I have an 04 malibu with roughly 3,000 miles on it.

I have had it in the shop once for this issue, but they claimed they could not reinact it.

My Malibu when started and put into reverse, will have its RPM's rev up with my foot not even on the gas, but on the break or on nether pedal.

It will then proceede to JUMP back, and not slow, but strongly, I'll have to keep my phone on the break to not lose control of it.

Then it will calm down after sitting in reverse for a short while, OR as soon as I put it into drive it will be normal!

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

I've heard of your problem one other time but can't remember what the resolution was. I think it's PCM reprogramming, but don't hold me to that.

I'm nearly 100% sure I read about it in Edmund's Town Hall, so I suggest you visit that site and search on your problem. Edmund's is the most active site currently re: the '04 Malibu.
