1995 Geo Prizm Smog Test

I have a 95 Prizm and need to get it smogged. I recently had then engine rebuilt and had a valve job done. There is a slight leak because cylinder 1 has had trouble breaking in. The leak is really a seep from the valve cover, nothing horrible. It seems to be improving and it has not been misfiring or fouling the plug like it used to. The car also seems to be running very well. Do you think it will pass smog?

I took the car to the Test Only station today and it failed for NOX. The print out said that the car is an official gross polluter and it exceeded gross polluter limits for NOX. I am so mad because I just put tons of money into this car and I don't know what to do next. My boss said something about an EGR Valve, but who knows? I need to get this fixed and its becoming a real hassle because I have other things to worry about. Now I am wondering if my Check Engine Light will come on because of this cause I don't know how long I have had this problem. What do you guys think? I am hoping it doesn't cost too much.

Nox- verry verry likely due to the EGR valve clogged, solenoid not working, or The intake heavily carboned up. Also if you have over 120k on it, most likely the catalytic converter is bad.

95 Geo Prizms dont have EGR if they are federal vehicles.

Found out it needs a new O2 sensor and a catalytic converter
