owned tranny

well here's what happend, the last couple days my cars been shaking when it shifted into 2nd i didnt think anything of it. but as i was driving down the road today at about 40ish i heard a loud clunking sound so i slowed down to about 30 and it stoped. i stoped at a red right a noticed a lot of smoke coming from my car the light turned green and i took off very slowly. all of a sudden there was screeeching alot more clunking sounds of me running over stuff and as i looked back i could see metal things. i pulled into a parking lot and turned my car off i waited for like 2 min's and started it back up put it in drive and nothing happend i put it in to every gear and it was just like neutral. i finally got out and looked and there was a gear lying on the ground! i looked down the road there was a trail of fluid and parts! does anyone know why it exploded like that? thanks for your time

no crack well i never really looked i guess i should have. the tranny hasent been looked at in a while. i'll get a picture of the gears lying next to the car and all the other stuff to show the desrtuction :cwm27:
it's kinda funny in a way.
