rear wiper

Hey, just bought a 92 golf gl and the rear wiper doesn't work. I tested the motor and its good. Just wondering if anyone had any idea of where to start and what to check. Common problem areas perhaps?

Fuse #4 (15A) & the relay is in position #2 (thats second row above fuses, second from the left.)

Ok, so I did some more troubleshooting (guess I should have done this in the first place) I pulled out the motor and checked the power, yep 12v. Funny thing though, as i was pulling it out the motor kicked on, but I get nothing when its bolted in. I'm thinking that mabye its got a bad ground or something??? Anyone know how the motor grounds to the frame or have any idea what could be the problem.

The ground goes to the right rear of the decklid.

Is that grounded with a wire or just directly through the metal, cause I dont have a wire. I'm thinking that when the car was painted they unhooked the ground or painted over it.

It's the brown wire coming from the motor.
