99 explorer overhead console

The console back light blinked then went out. The Temp & Comp. data is there but w/o the light it is unreadable. Is it repairable w/o buying a new module from Ford.

Can you advise me, did you find out how to fix your display as mine is out on my 1996 XLT.

Did you check your fuses? Possibly a bulb burnt out, but not too sure on that one, kind of a pain in the but to take off the console just to see if a bulb is burnt out.
