I got a 01' lude
Sometimes when I let my 1st gear slip a bit it makes a very un-nerving squeeky noise.
Anyone else have this problem?

Yah i have the same problem, don't know what causes it. Also, my friend has a prelude and it makes the same noise sometimes. So i'm guessing its pretty common. Its like a almost whining noise, when the first gear engages right off of a start right? Hopefully someone knows how to fix it. I have a 2000 SH by the way and my friend has a 97 base.

Found this on the Toronto Prelude Club's forum. Looks like lots of people have the same clutch problem.

heheh i was reading the threads and I couldnt' help but notice the canadians were talking about kilometers instead of miles.
sheesh. I had to pull out my calculator and figure out the numbers.
i'm a little confused now; if its possibly the throw out bearing or the shim. argh
