Does anyone know how I can change all my file views to "Details" instead of "Large Icons" without having to change the settings in each individual folder? I tried to locate something in settings under "Control Panel" and could not find any options under the File/Folder views to do this.

Also sometimes when I do change my views, some folders randomly revert back to the "Large Icons". I made sure my setting was checked to "Remember my settings."

Any help is appreciated :D

To my knowledge, there is no option in any version of windows that will change all the folders at once. You have to do that to each folder you use. I could be wrong though. I just have never found a option like that.

Hmm dunno. A friend of mine who is a networker said you can change your folder views all at once in other Windows versions. He's just not familar with WinME....of course only because that's what I need the info for :bloated: Go figure. Ah well...if I can figure out why they keep changing back that would make life easier. I went back and checked.."remember my settings" was still checked. Gawd I hate technology sometimes.

I think I can help. WinME Right?

There is a way Kat. Open any folder of your choice. Set the view to however you want (List, Details, Icons, Whichever you like).

Once you have done that, choose Tools, Folder Options in that folder. Select the "View" tab. At the top you should see something like this

Once the currently active folder is set just the way you want them all, choose the "Like Current Folder" and confirm the next dialog then choose "OK"

Hope this helps :)

EDIT: I sometimes dont make my instructions all that clear, so if you dont understand my above ramblings, or you need more help, feel free to PM me and ill do what I can to help :)
