I'm a newbie to cars, as this is my first. it's a 93 4 door cav. My problem is that my ABS light stays on. I have no trouble with my breaks, because they work fine. I was told that it might just be dirt on the sensors, and if i cleaned them off really good, it should go away. Now, can anyone help me and tell me what to do, such as where are the sensors located? I know as much as taking off the tire. What do I do next? hehe.,

Are you gettin a check engine light?... You might need to have the code taken out.

Check the plugs and wires to the ABS unit and the sensors, check the fuse, and if you can locate the wiring harness plugs the ABS uses, check them also. There is some information in the repair manuals, but detailed troubleshooting requires special equipment.

well here is a quick test... disconnect your battery from the terminals.... let it sit that way for 30 -45 min.. it will dump the computers short term memory, and will put that code to the side... if your light goes off... then that was the problem.. Take is somewhere and have the code properly taken out.. then if it occurs again, check fuses and connections...
