'84 Svo

How's it goin' guys?

I dunno if this is the right place for this post but I was wondering if anybody has specs (or knows where I can get specs) on an '84 SVO. I know they're turbocharged 4cyl's (2.3L I believe?). My buddy just got one and had some questions so I'm doing some research! Any info would be great.

they make about 200 horsepower and around that much torque... but the powerband isn't as good as that of a 5.0. turbo 2.3s do make really impressive track motors tho.

sweet. thanks man. Do you happen to know about the turbo design? I'm looking for the turbo specs as well. Such as stock max boost, impellar size turbine wheel, that kind of stuff? Any info on that as well would be really great. TIA again.

can't help you with specifics, i'm not much of a turbo guy (though i'd love to do a turbo on my 5.0...). you'd be best off doing a google search for SVO specs. i know a guy with an SVO with some mods, he wants to put a t4 turbo on it. actually, we were at milan dragway recently and he broke his rear axle! stupid 7.5.

when it comes to drag racing, i wouldn't touch a 2.3 with a 10 foot pole. i do however have one sitting around mostly taken apart (just took the head off and found a broken exhaust valve) that i'll build into a roadrace motor some day. or i'll just throw a turbo at it and use it in a daily/summer/sleeper car.
