Rough idle on 2000 Civic

Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Car was running smooth, then I got a tune up. That consisted of new spark plugs, wires, distributor cap. Then it started running rough. To make matters more confusing I also had an "oil issue" and had about 3/4 a quart too much in the car.

I drained the oil to the correct level, brought it back to the shop, they said the spark plugs weren't in there hard enough and it started running fine.

Next day it's rough again.

I changed the spark plugs again myself, and it ran fine for about 3 minutes, and then started going rough.

Any ideas? The car sounds like a diesel, and you can feel the shake in the passenger compartment. No Tachometer so I can't say what the RPM's are doing.

are the wires the correct reach? cut the spark will jump between wire to plug if close enough and maybe a few minutes of runnin gvibratesw em out a bit but just enough so you lose one cylinder. not sure why that would make it sound like a deisel but bad gas would.

I'm not sure how to tell if the wires are the correct reach, they look fine to me. I'm almost 100% sure it's not bad gas since I've filled up twice since then and even put in 93 octane.

I did put in some BG44K cleaner to the gas tank though... but that's supposed to make things better.

could be a stripped spark plug hole, like if when the shop torqued the plugs they tourqued them too much and stripped the hole, which would cause the plug to back out again, which accourding to you fixed the problem before
