Fill the hole in the hood smooth, chop the roof a scale 3 inches, lay the windshield back just a skosh. :icon16:

Willys gassers are as common as dirt. The body is clean and lends itself very well to modern custom tricks vs. the ubiquitous gasser tricks. The rims say "modern custom" to me more than street machine or gasser.

Okay, you asked! :naughty:

:iagree:

No scoop, chop the top. Those T's are perfect on that car.

Gonna be sweet :smokin:

I agree with Bob as well. No big ass scoop, chop, maybe section, slam. And oh, shiney paint. I cant wait to see this project.

Oh man....a Willys. I have the multi-build kit that I've been sitting on for a while.

I like my Willys dumped, maybe chop-top but definitely an exposed blower.

And another show stopper on the assembly line, right?

I would go with the scoop! It follows the lines of the body perfectly! I mean who says that modern custom canīt have a scoop like that?:D

And it would ad a nice touch if you rouded the edges of the grille hole to the same form as the scoop front.. (I donīt know if that made any sence, my english is little rusty:D)

Decided to leave the scoop ON!!! Here are 2 pics, the first one is the standard scoop!! The second is the scoop filed down. The scoop filed down goes with the side lines of the hood!!

Nice decision, I always felt that that body style needed something on the bonnet to give it a new line. I do like thsi scoopless Willys though:

If you so insist upon the scoop, why not bury it the hood. So the bottom of the inlet is flush with the hood. Give it a more clean look in my opinion.

I like it! Look into Perry's resin chasis for the Willi, otherwise you will have a terribly hard time lowering it to achieve the stance you want... if you do decide to "do it yourself" please do a step by step tutorial, as I had been planning on doing the same, but was terrified of the chasis work.

I agree with mike on burying the scoop, it'd look sick!

Cool progress, need to get going on mine after I get my a/b fixed....

Good idea to leave the scoop on.
Why not tub the rear end with huge drag slicks, dump it to the ground as low as it will go, shave all the handles, trim etc.
Lower the roof line and de-chrome it by painting everything body colour
Finish off with some deep candy apple red paint

With all these great ideas, I do not know what to do now!!! I was thinking curbside, slammer w/out chassis??????? I am so confused!!!!!! HMMM, I'll just go buy a couple of more kits and build one of each!!

Build what you like Dennis, The scoop looks great lowered the way you show it in the second pic. I think you're off to a great start.

Add 1 more kit to the cart :icon16:

Sectioned, slammed and topless. No frame on the top of the windshield.

I was gonna do this, but got too many ideas for other cars ahead of it.

Either way you decide to do it i am sure it will be unreal just like the rest of your models. Being a Willys as well how could it not be spectacular. The ultimate rod.

I personaly dont like the scoop either or the hole in the hood. I agree with filling the hole and keeping it sleek. Either way, I know your going to turn this into a stunner.

looks great! That is the general method most of us make the hinges and it works really good! With paint it will look pretty realistic!

Have you started on the chasis work to make it sit right?? I would be interested in a astep-by-step how-to on how to lower the front of the chasis.
