2000 Cherokee Valves

Valves knocking and pinging above 2000 rpm and it sounds like they coming out of the engine.I have replaced the push rods and rockers.

i'm not sure but isn't there a knock sensor on your cherokee,, knock sensor changes the timing if it senses a knock.

Could be your hydraulic valves stuck open. Run some marvel mystery oil through it. Have you changed the oil on a reg basis?
After you did all that work did you adjust the valve lash correctly?

Have you had the fuel pressue cheched? Could be starving for fuel and causing the pinging. Or you may need to use injector cleaner in the fuel.Or go some were and have your injectors cleaned.

check your knock sensor/s first

doesn't have a knock sensor.Only 87-90 used a knock sensor
