Hi, This is my first time here so Im not sure if Im posting this in the right place, but heres my question. Is there any place I can do a car-fax type thing for our 66 Thunderbird? When I went to carfax it said car had to be 81 or newer. Last week we tryed to sell the car on ebay and many people asked about the milage and could we doc. it.(31000-org.) Any info anyone could give me on how or where I would go to find out more history on the car would be great. We really would like to sell it ASAP(well- I think I want to sell it a little more than my husband does--I guess thats why Im here and hes not  )

Well theres really no way to document it I don't think... Maybe try and contact the state you live in because theyhave to record odometer reading when doing emissions testing and there has got to be a record of tat somewhere..

how mean of you to make your husband sell his prized 66' t bird with only 31k orig. miles. I'd file for divorce.

I think it would be most unreasonable to have verifiable mileage on a 40 year old car. Cars of this vintage have no way to confirm mileage - nor should they either. If he/she has any doubts about the mileage have come and look at the car. If it genuinely has only 31,000 miles they'll know it immediately, if not they shouldn't be looking at at old car!
