ABS/Brake Problems

There Is Something Seriously Wrong With The ABS Sysyem On My Car. 88 T-Bird Turbo 2.3 5 Speed W/ ABS. The ABS Light Came On About 1 1/2 Years Ago And Never Went Off. Nothing Else Seemed To Be Wrong At The Time. Then, About 9 Months Ago, The Brakes Suddenly Became Stiff. It Took All My Effort And Strength To Apply The Brake And Slow The Car Down. I've Bled The Brakes Thinking That 1 Of The Lines Were Clogged And Thinking Maybe There Was Air In The Line. Not The Case. I Was Told That It Was Many Different Things. One Mechanic Told Me That The 2 Right Side ABS Wheel Sensors Are Bad Causing The Brake Booster To Shut Off. Someone Else Told Me That If I Removed The ABS Fuse The Brakes Will Release And Become Soft Again. Does Anyone Have Any Ideas Or Solutions?

Thanks,
CJ

I wouldn't remove the fuse with out talking to a Ford tech about it. The sensors being bad could be a good bet, but I don't think would effect normal breaking.

Same thing is happening with me.. My brake petal just became stiff out of no where. My ABS light has been on for a couple years too.

I notice when I turn the key to ignition but before the engine on I don't hear the electrical wheeze sound of the brake pump turning on anymore. Must not be getting power.

I am having a Ford electrical guy come take a look tommorow. I'll keep updated.

As far as a hard pedal, check all vacuum lines associated with the brake booster for leaks and if you have the means, pull a vacuum on your booster and see if it holds. Sounds more like no power assist from the booster than anything. But then I am not an expert with ABS.
