Challenger

ok, i am new to these forums, but please bear with me...

anyway my family owns several cars including a 1971 Plymouth 'Cuda Convertible

My Mom wants my dad to sell it and a guy is currently looking at it
Our family has already had a Jaguar(dont remember which type), of course we sold, like 4 Chargers(1 left) a '70 Challenger T/A(here is what we think is the actual car: http://www.musclecarcalendar.com/ff8.htm) and now my dad is thinking about selling this 'Cuda. It has a 340 in it which white interior and white convertible top, matching mirror colors, its Blue and has a luggage rack on the back i think it is a 4 Barrel Auto. The car is free of rust and has been in his possesion for 21 years. Please reply and help me to convince him not to sell it, he is thinking of selling it for just $50K when it ia an extremely rare car.

Basically this car http://images.webkrafters.com/trinity/static/showPosting/16247.html without the shaker Hood

PLEASE HELP! IMMEDIATLY

50k? It's not that rare. More like 15k maybe.

Hmm, What kind of shape is it in?

If its in good shape u should get 50-100k

It aint gonna be less than 20k unless its rusted out and not running.

What are your Dads plans? Its a great car but if u need money than he should sell it. He could probably get you another nice car for like 20k

Well, The car is rare! No doubt about that.
Why do u want your Dad to keep it and why is he selling all those cars?

You guys must be on something.
First: Challenger doesn't seem to have a picture of his car but if you look at the supposed 'cuda:

A '71 'cuda did NOT EVER come with that ugly piss yellow paint. It's not a "rare" paint.

The correct paint that should have, or might have been on that car is "Citron Yella", but probably "mellow Yellow" niether of which are rare. And NO '71 chrysler products were ever painted with 2 stage PPG paint. The stripes on the car in the picture are NOT original (can't be) or somebody totally f^cked up putting them on. They look like year-one repros to me.
The grille in the pictured car should have been argent silver powder coat with black trim.

Furthermore;
a 'cuda is a different car than a "Barracuda". All the convertibles that I have seen carry the "Barracuda" nameplate, and only the sedans have the 'cuda emblem on the tail panel, and don't have that grille.

What else should I tell you. The car is an original convertible. That IS rare. supposedly it has the original 340, that would be a little more rare...

But what's YOUR car's REAL story?

If someone is stupid enough to give you $50K USD for it, and you're not just being scammed by some offshore moron, take it and laugh all the way to the bank. You can go to ebay, Carlisle or almost anywhere and find another one. Besides, Who wants a convertible? Damn leaking cylinders, poorly made collapsible top frame, virtually no rollover protection, (not that you would be able to roll over the 2ton plus sled anyway...) What the heck do you do with a convertible in Denver? Take it out on that one day a year it isn't too cold and doesn't rain??!!

Post a picture of your Damn car. Post the VIN. if you only had it for 20 some years, where was it the other 12? You think some old lady drove to the supermarket on thursdays and kept it in a garage and you say it's B5 blue? Ha!

Ok, I'll stop flaming ...
