Metal body F&F Civic-My way!

This is the '95 Fast and Furious metal body Civic kit, I bought this before the plastic ones were available so here it is w/o any real body modification. I don't really like the fact that this came with the body kit already molded on since I like to make my own but oh well. The mods include: Clearing out headlights and taillights, customized aluminum wing to flow better with car (came with plastic civic kit) added rear bumper from 99-00 Revell civic coupe, custom exhaust, cut out plastic grille and added mesh grille, Vtec controller, ITR seats, Split six spokes from ITR and other than the motor which is still in the works I think thats all the mods, hope you enjoy as I am currently working on my two plastic versions of this kit now so stay tuned for those threads.

I dunno, the second to last picture made me think of a small black animal. I guess it's showing its beast side? I don't really know. Sorry for being confusing, ill go in the corner now.

A Puma??

Nice job. Did you build whole headlight buckets, or what? I'm really curious, it looks grea and from what I understand, it's molded terribly, with the plastic pin sticking out of the middle of the lense! Great looking Civic. Ya'll are making me look a Honda slacker.

Nice work...Looks much better than the stock kit. The only thing i did to mine's was a new exhaust system and a lowering job.

Well you are right, the mold of this kit SUCKS!! the pins are right in the middle of the lenses making them look like cheap crap. I had a pretty simple solution really, I just clipped off the pin with nail clippers and smoothed the lens with my rounded blade on my exacto (not sure what# blade) and painted clear coat evenly on the whole lens to get rid of any cloudiness left over and it worked suprisingly well. oh yea, I also used the rounded blade to scrap off the orange from the corner lights and the tailights, and just repainted red on the tails before clearing them. The last step is to use adhesive foil to cover the holes left on the buckets or fill with plastic and then use foil or silver paint, I went with the black housing look for mine. once you are all done just use model master clear drying glue for clear parts. I hope this makes sense and helps you out as this kit needs alot of help to make it look right IMO. You should see how much i have modified my plastic kits so far!...stay tuned

NiCE! that thing is slammed...just like its at a car show waiting to be admired by the crowd. Good job on correcting the faults on this thing. Cant wait to see the plastic 93 coupes.

This one did not come with any characters but I have seen the ones you mean and no I did not paint this, it came black already. The only thing I painted was the bumper cause it came out of the plastic kit and it was white originally.
