Manifold Gasket

Well I just found out that I need to change my manifold gasket, and I would like to do this myself, to save $600-$700.
Does anyone know what it would take to change this on your own?? And would it be safe to drive it another 50 miles to get it back home?

overall the job is prety simple, when I fixed mine the biggest pain was removing everything just to be able to remove the intake manifold. also, I'd recomend getting a billet plenum pan to replace the stock steel one(less expansion differences and the gasket will last longer) or you could just upgrade to an M1 intake (the M1 is all one piece which eliminates the plenum gasket all together).
as far as being able to drive it home, it depnds on how bad the gasket is leaking, but if it isn't that bad, you should be fine, just go easy. also, after you get the gasket changed, it's a good idea to run some combustion chamber cleaner through it to help clean out the cylinders.
