HELP: Remote Starter / Theft System Question

I drive a 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier. I recently purchased a DEI Viper 120HV Remote Car Starter from Future Shop and had it installed by them. A couple days after having the unit installed the “THEFT SYSTEM” light in the dashboard came on and has not shut off since (about 2 weeks now). Everything still works fine, but it’s annoying to see that light on and I was wondering if it was at all related to the remote starter? I had to pay extra for a DEI 555L Bypass Module to temporarily disable the Passlock System while the car was started. Is it possible that this unit has malfunctioned or permanently disabled the Ant-Theft System? I’m going back into Future Shop to have them take a look at it, but I just wanted your opinion first. Is this something that you have heard of before? Or is it just a coincidence that the Theft System broke only 2 days after having remote starter installed? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Alright, fine... Sounds good to me... Now how do I fix it? Is it something that can be fixed if I take it into the place that installed the remote starter? Or is it something that I can fix on my own, (like resetting it or something)? I still find it kinda odd that the THEFT SYSTEM light would come on only two days after installing a remote car starter. This car is nearly 10 years old and there's never been a problem with the Factory Anti-Theft System until now. It has to be related to the remote starter and/or the bypass module...
