front end vibrations

I have a 2000 Focus ZX3 with about 75,000 miles on it.

this vehicle has had front end vibration problems for about the last 2 years. i was told that i needed new tires and an alignment, which i got, and the vibration was still there.

any idea on what else could be causing this? it's driving me slowly insane, particularly in combination with the numerous recalls and problems this car has had.

Unfortunately 2000 was not the year to buy a Focus.

So you bought 4 new tires and had an alignment done... i'm assuming the tires were balanced? If not, the tires have gone out of round and that is probably causing the vibration.

If it's not the tires being out of balance/round, then i'm not sure. I want to say something like the tie-rods, but i know the tie rods aren't it...

you know im curious...could it be your engine thats doing it...i mean landyacht is right that wasnt the year to buy a focus...but one of my relatives had the same problem and we found out that it was his engine that wascausing the vibration because it was running really hard...you might want to check into that

you may want to have your engine mounts checked. maybe the one on the trainee side.!!
