Help buying a car...

Well. A friend and i have decided to spend a small ammount of money...and try to get a car for the two of us to work on. We want to be able to put a nice body kit on it, and upgrade the enigne a bit...something we could get cheaply, too. Our max price for everything in total, including parts, labor, ect, is $12,000. So if you could help us pick out a car...that would be great. Thanks...
