'79 Camaro buy - is it trash

Sorry no pics yet but by request, yes. I picked up a '79 Camaro, not a Z28, at an auction for $300 CND. Could tell nuff was in shape good enough to fix, major body parts were there and only light surface rust. . busted plastic on front grill... primed. . . 4 speed standard tranny.

Is this car a piece of garbage, it sounds like a lot of '79 era camaros are out there. Yes I am a complete newb to the camaro scene, but I was looking for a car to fix up and put EFI into and build into a sort of crotch rocket.

Is this car a piece of crap or what. IF I painted her up and did up the engine(a 400 small block w/out head(intake and all)) and fixed it up how much is it worth? just curious.

well if you want a crotch rocket get a bike

dont see if it runs, but if it does that would make it at least worth what u paid

well yeah, crotch rockets referr to import sport bikes, not hot rods.

as far as the buy, sounds like an absolute steal. the car is a great starting point, and they are very good looking cars. i think youd be off to a very good project with that car.

as far as what shes gonna be worth, depends on the market where you live, and what a person is willing to pay. i would say if its not a Z28, its gonna be worth a few grand, 1-4 thousand depending on the condition of the car, and the market.

tacoma man.

get-er done! you could always turn it into a Z28 clone.
