I just came from my friends apartment where i heard this song... If you like Jay Z, you will probably like it, but i cant stand him, and half the song is him rapping to the beat of the song, and then finally at the end Linkin Park gets to sing the chorus to the song....Thumbs down from me

Watched the MTV special last week. I'm a fan of Jaz-Z but not the biggest of Linkin Park. But I thought they were incredible. A terrific mix of music. I may not be the biggest fan of Linkin Park, but at least Chester can sing, unlike a lot of all these other bands out there.

It was fairly decent. In general I'm a Jay-Z fan, but not a big Linkin Park song.

I think it comes out in NZ this week. I think it's definately worth buying (mainly because some of the songs I tried to d/l were corrupted or silence). They've showed the concert about 2 or 3 times. I thought it was pretty damn awesome.

it's time it's said.

this song exists for one purpose: money. If every one stoped buying this repetitive, regurgitated, re-usable shit, we could all wipe out bad music! *starts revolution*

The original song was pretty cool, but this "remix" is just pure crap.

That was a pretty childish thing to say.

If you don't like the music, don't listen to it.

If you like it, listen to it.

How fucking hard is that to do?

Childish? Kind of like telling someone that they shouldn't express their thoughts??
We're all entitled to an opinion, just because someone has a differing one doesn't mean you should give them hell about it.

Point out where I said he couldn't express his thoughts.

All I said was that it was a childish thing to say.

Ok, but still, why do you sometimes get so offended by what someone says about things in this forum? I only see this kind of behaviour from you in the music forum, it's like you think it's a personal attack on you or something... it's not, Just let it go.

Can't we all just get along ^^^

As music lovers, we all have different tastes and different views. That being the case, it should be noted that this also means not everyone is going to like the same genre/style/whathaveyou of music as you specifically.

That being said, here are a couple of rules, I guess we could call them, for the music forum to keep it under wraps:

1. Music forum means: Discuss ALL music. Not bash certain genres/styles that you don't like. Threads of this nature will be closed on the spot. Any repeat offenders will be given notices accordingly.

2. Respect the different tastes. Do not tell another member he/she is an idiot because you don't necessarily like his/her preferences of music. Our differences make who we are, and a vast difference of musical taste will make this forum that much better and that much more enjoyable. Anyone who feels the need to start trouble will be dealt with accordingly, i.e. DON'T start trouble. It's that easy.

Enjoy the forum. That's what it's here for. Just remember to be respectful and mature. If you can do those two things in ANYTHING, you'll have no problems.

I'm not offended by him disliking it at all. Again you're assuming things.

I'll agree to the fact that almost all modern music is garbage, but I don't bash any groups at all. I just won't listen to them.

Option A:
Turn it off and listen to something I like

Option B:
Get riled and disgusted that a song is playing.

I'll take option A. It's much easier to just listen what I like and turn off what I don't. Not liking someone's music is no reason to get violent or offended.

It's not hard. It's easy.

This thread existed way before I heard it for the first time, I heard it less than 1 week ago in a music store, I was like "what the hell?"

I only said what I said for a reason: I'm seeing trends in music: picked up, washed out artists attempting to "bring it back" by remixing their own shit, and/or other artists "remix" already done "songs". It's annoying. It's pathetic, too.
My brother listens to the re-made crap, I have to point out the fact that "Song for the moment" by eminem is an Aerosmith song.

As I said, the original song is pretty good, Lester has some great lyrics (if he writes them) and I like his voice.

Its Chester, actually.

And its something different. Its a rap/rock bridge. Its something new for people to listen to. Ya know, where would we be if no one ever tried anything different?

BTW, do you think the Aerosmith/Run-DMC song was for money too?

what the hell did I say lester? what the shit was I thinking? Thanks for that.

20 years ago, it wasn't much for money, now when the record company's, and the artists them selves have woken up and realised it's not hard to make millions in this industry, it's then you realise these "mixes" are purely to raise money for them self. This is obvious when you realise how many times per year that this happens.

:1: Jay Z is ok, but I didn't like them mixing Linkin Park in with him. I listen to rock, not rap. So I wasn't pleased to hear that on my radio the other day. To me it would've been like Jay Z rapping to a Toby Keith song... Can you all imagine hearing Jay Z rapping with a country twange "How Do ya Like me Now?!?!" :lol2: :lol2:
