The 88Nova and the 4alc

I had posted earlier, about my 88nova and me trying to work on it, 500$ later, and everything put back on.... the thing doesnt start ouch.... A: carbs are anoying as hell... B: 8 valve engines are weak C: this engine should have never been concieved. If you know about the stupid carb it shares the same gasket as the exaust manifold... really really stupid design. so u have the intake manifold siting on top of the exaust. really hard to get off the head. My plan is within the next month buying a silver top 4age. I have always wanted to any ways. I love the car its cool and has lots of potiental. ne one know where i can get the stuff to do a conversion for a auto to MT... I need to know this. but the stupid 4alc engine sucks, dont buy a car with it.....

Sould'nt this be in the vauxall forums insrted of the corolla forums?? (sorry about the spelling im pissed) but NOVAS should be in the VAUXALL forum then the rest of the vauxall people would know wot to do..

actualy the 88 nova is a 85 body style corolla, thus i wouldnt call it a nova at all, its the company that gm and toyota made. Can't think of it of the top of my head, but its really a corolla with a chevy badge. The whole thing is toyota.

Oh my appolieges (spelling *Stoned*) must somthing outbout america? i live in Norwich in Britain. I have a 89 corolla GL 1.3 12v soon-2-B a 2.0 16v supercharged beast!

np man, like you said your from britan, where they have some pretty cool cars. Car companies are stupid in america. They try to hide imports by giving them gm names. The pontiac vibe = toyota matrix

Its very silly considering american cars suck on quality, but if my engine doesnt work i may be inheriting a crx from a cousin who is tired of it and is tuning his bmw. an i also found the d16a1 from this guy i know to do the swap.
