Alpine SPS-171A?

I already have an amp/sub set up so I dont need a nice bassy speaker, just speaker that delivers good crisp sound. These are what I had in mind, the Alpine SPS-171A (http://www.cartoys.com/cartoys/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Product_ID=62163) And I used to have the older alpines like these that had 3 spoke things on the speaker grille and I was wondering if these are really worth the extra $100 or whatever it would cost for these.

If you want components then yea those are nice speakers...especially if you mount the tweaters higher up it will sound like your more surrounded in the music. I really would recomend running them off you head unit, they really need to be extranally amped to sound good. If you want speakers that will run with the head unit power get some coaxials not components. Alpine coaxials are arround 99.
