what are the best tires by opinion

just a regular question, what are the best tires out there based on experience others have had. this will help me in my search for sticky meats to plant my hatch on

i am considering nitto or yokohama's parada but i am unsure which will last longer with proper alignment and for long distances since i am planning to go on a road trip to texas because the army see's it fit i live there for awhile. :disappoin anyways just give me your opinions and i appreciate your info

Well what do you want out of the tires besides long distances? Is the car going to see snow? Competition?

I think the Paradas are one of the worse tires ever made, but that's coming from someone who autocrosses ALOT.

im just going to be using the tires as everyday driving and for a trip to texas. i dont forsee any snow useage but theres a small possibility that i could run into some. if it gets that bad though i wont be on the road...i'd rather report lete than risk peoples lives. so basicly i want the tires for normal everyday driving and the occasional track run.

I think those are all great tires

For cheaper tires:

Kumho 712
Nitto NT450

They aren't great tires, but good enough for daily driving and have pretty good wear too

I'm actually pleasantly surprised at how my Toyo Proxes 4 handle. They are considered all seasons and stick surprisingly good for all season. Pretty inexpensive too. Also look into the Kumho ASX.

Pirelli P-Zero Nero - overkill
Bridgestone S-03 Pole Position - expensive & not all seasons.
BFGoodrich G-Force T/A - the KDs are overkill for daily driving and are expensive - also not all seasons.
Falken Azenis - hydroplanes at any depth below new. Although inexpensive and great grip. Also not all seasons.
Kumho MX - I heard hydroplanes pretty bad and are not all seasons.

For cheaper tires:

Kumho 712 - not all seasons and wet grip sucks
Nitto NT450 - anything from Nitto sucks

Actually if you can I'd get two sets of wheels and tires (heck I have 5 sets). One set for daily driving and another set for track days. That way you don't kill your daily driving tires when you go to track days, and you don't kill your track tires for everyday driving.

I have:
1 set for my STS class when I autocross
1 set of all season which are on my 00 Civic Si
1 set of snow tires which are on my 89 Civic Si
1 set of DOT R tires which I use for Corvette autocrosses
1 set of 14" all season which go back on my 89 Civic Si

Yes I'm nuts :) But I also change my tires/wheels twice in one weekend - sometimes more since I autocross alot.
