93 Chevy Putters at go

Hello there.
I've recently bought a 1993 Chevy Cavalier 4 Door, 4 Cyl, only 131k Km's, for $1800 Canadian.
I took it for a test drive at the dealers and inspected it very throughly. After bringing it home, I noticed that it starts to putter when I step on the gas after being at a stop. When I'm at a red light, and the light turns green, I press on the gas, and it feels like maybe the tires are spinning/tranny maybe skipping. Does anyone know what this problem might be? Is there a fix? Also, my ABS light is always on. I don't kno if its that important, seeing as my brakes work fine. So it might just be a sensor.

Thanks
-Tim

Is the tranny fluid over full after driving and at operating temps with the engine still running?

Sounds like a engine miss under load check the wires and coil packs with a spary mist of water and look for any sparking and replace anything that does.
Need abs code before we can help you on that 1
