have you guys noticed.

there is a little light under the center a/c vents, why?

just in case you drop a blunt. j/k i dont know but proly if you drop something in the night

its over in the back corner closest to the instument panel. next time you have your headlights on look under the ac vents ( the ones under the dash pad )
and you will see it. my car is a 90 and it has it, also the 91 camaro that i had had one in the same spot

its a map light/radio illumination. The factory radios didnt have alot of well lit controls, the little light above them made them easier to see at night. at least thats my understanding of it.

i guess that answers my question. i have wondered about that for years.

i've never noticed that in mine.

its there, i had one in my 91 rs.

maybe the bulb for mine has been blown for all these years

i thought mine was a button

i'll hafta remember to look next time i'm workin on it.

i figured that the hatch button had moved up there in the late 80's when i saw mine. cause my moms 85 iroc had the switch in between the window buttons

that's where my hatch button is, between the window buttons.

must be nice my rs doesnt have that luxury, just PW's and PDL's.

i also have a weird kinda button light its below the light turn on pullout switch (where u turn ur lights on) i have no idea what it is.... anyone ever heard of this??? its like red looks like a button but i guess its a light of some sort??

its the fog light button, the one under your headlight switch anyway.

hey 89 i removed the little panel under my head light knob were the fog light button would be if i had them, there is a plug behind it for a fog light switch wonder why?

does that mean that i could get a button for it and it will have power on it? and possibly hook up my fog lights, my car had the iroc grill and the fog lights when i got the car but they'er not hooked up.

good question, i guess so long as the harness is there and you have power to the swich, and a ground from the fog lights. if you just put the switch in it should work.

ill try that, if i could get my hands on a switch, anybody have one extra?

i think i have a blue switch that lights up from my truck that i dont use anymore somewhere around here...

I just looked and I got that thing under my vents too, bulb musta been blown the whole time cuz I never noticed anything there.

That's where I put my NOS switch !!! Just kidding... That's where I put my amp switch though ( Just incase I happen to roll by some police , Utah = Strict noise pollution laws. ) Whan I took my dash pad off there wasn't anything hooked to it..just the stupid little orange lens in the hole.

yeah i have that one too.. mines green for some reason but if its on to long and u bump that button.. sure do burn my finger lol

did you notice theres a little glass blub on your shift gear by the P, R , OD, 3,2,1.. theres one on the edge close to driver side.. look in there really carefully.. what r those for? another security for shift gears too?

I dunno what your talking about but probably just for lighting so you can see in the dark which gear it's in because it has no digital or dash inidicator for the gear position.

i don't know what im talkin about either but thats what i have on my gear box.. i looked and im like what the hell is that for, its tiny little glass ball.. lot smaller than the lady bug for sure.. i don't know ill just don't bother..
