Hey,

I think I missed the progress thread...or not...But this looks really nice. What are the rims and tires from, and what kit did u use for the bug?

Especially this picture looks like it's a real car and not a model! Very good job! What are those wheels? Who makes them?

Sweet! theres an old school beetle car club around here named Bugweiser, and some of them have "F*ckthenewone" decals on them. (instead of farfegnugen sp?). I dunno, I thought it was cool. :loser:
Im also interested in those rims and who makes them. The rims look perfect on your model. The color looks perfect too. It looks like a candy or metallic pink. Am I close? I ask because im building a new beetle in HOK candy pink for a friend.

Very nice, pretty color, good general style
Some nice details here and there, Vw Mag, T-Bars, ...

But, this is a constructive comment, don't be offended:
- you could be a bit more carefull when painting small parts (i.e. engine)
- the border of the seatbelts are not perfectly clean
- the Tbars are inverted they should be like that: --\ and not --l or --/
- the rear lights are not completely clear. The half attached to the fender must be painted bodycolor, and the rest clear.
- I see fingerprints and glue on the windows (wear coton gloves and use white glue for all clear parts)
I don't want to bother you, I just want to make you build better.
Excepted this, good job :bigthumb:

And what are those rims, I don't know them and it suits the beetle very well.

To Blubaja, this is certainly the Tamiya kit: 1966 VW Beetle

Thanks for the commentaries

Deedlit --> Acceptance your constructive comment and I don't offended, always goes well to learn of the errors.

The rims are of a Hilux pickup that it buys in HLJ

Is this (http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?AOS27783)

Actually, it looks EXACTLY like the Polar Lights "Herbie The Love Bug" kit, it has all the seam lines in the exact same places. Mines almost finished now. Correct me if I'm wrong, DaInJa
