Well i just got the car running AGAIN (and theres only 3k on the motor), and finally took it to the dyno. I also got some pics posted. I only dyno'd up to 1.21 bar, I still have some to go but I started getting a wierd hesitation at the top end like a rich spot so i decided to call it a day until that gets fixed, but it put down 338rwh and 272lbs tq. Here are some pics, ill get more of the motor and trunk mount. let me know what you guys think.

Well I think that 338rwh would be hella fun in an MR2 :2cents: Nice :bigthumb:

thats how most aftermarket MR2 Turbo exhuast look. if i'm not mistaken, that looks like a Apex'i N1 single turbo exhuast.

thank you guys for the replies. The exhaust is an Apex'I, but it is the GT Spec, not the N1. Jekyl made 351 @ 22 psi i was at 18-19 so our numbers should be closer when its running correctly and I take the boost up a bit. I am kinda mad about the car only making 338 because it sounds so low, but when i see Jekyl's track times it gives me new hope. If i do keep the car my next few mods should push it to around 450rwhp....we'll see.

1QUICK2, nice HP numbers .. the torque seems low for your setup. You should be well over 290 rwhp.
Do you have a copy of your dyno online?
Everyone else, it would really be unfair to expect 1QUICK2 to get ETs similar to mine for a few reasons:
1. Weight ~ I dieted Hyde hard ... I am down almost 300 lbs.
2. Traction ~ I race on drag radials.
3. Expereince ~ I have over 120 1/4 mile passes on my car.
4. Torque ~ I am putting down over 20 more RWTQ
I would expect to see mid-to-low 12s for him right now ... maybe a bit slower on regular street tires.

I dont have anycopys of the dyno runs. Once we started experiencing the problems I told them to just unhook it and I would come back when the stuble problem was fixed, so I will be returning soon. Also there is a lot on the car that I took off for weight as well, but I will never run the car with drag radials so I will not see the ET's that Jeckyl has. The car will make more power/torque when the boost is turned up, and the car should make similar trap speeds. The car is more of a street car and I dont feel like braking anything else with the DR's

1QUICK2, please know that my post was in no way diminishing your car's potential. It's obviously very capable ... I just wouldn't like to see anyone set up to a standard of "car X with Y power made and ET of THIS, you have the same car and power so you should make the same ET."
I think those are dangerous assumptions to make and lead people to have false ideas of what they and their car can do. Example: LB running only an 11.0 with well over 600 RWHP.
Regardless of power/ETs/etc .... your car is freakin gorgeous and I envy you to an infinite extent because of that!

I like your post man, you have class and I enjoy that, very professional, and not the smart ass remarks some make.
!QUICK2, nice car

Jekyl, no worries. I did not take your post harshly in any way, in fact, I enjoy your experience and criticism as a experienced 2 owner. I know that this car will probably not see 11.90's because of tires. In that regard, did you upgrade the axles on the car and what size/type of DR's are you running

Around 300 rwhp is when MR2s start breaking axles with hard launches.
Actually, we explode CV joints ... the actual axle stay intact.
I had this lovely experience like many others and got to enjoy a tow truck ride home from the track :)
ATS Racing (click the photo in my siggy) makes upgraded chromoly CV joints to resolve this issues. I would suggest doing this as a preventive measure if you plan on "hooking up" your 300 rwhp to the ground.
The upgrades are much cheaper than an axle.
I was racing the last 2 years on 255/50/16 BFG Drag Radials.
I just bought a set of custom drag wheels and mounted 275/50/15 BFGs in the back .... they, are huge. :D
