Well, finally had time to post some finished pictures of my Possum Bourne project. You can see a progress thread HERE (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=268356) .

Overall, I think using the combination of the STi road car and WRC car to create the Group N car was a good idea. Some more time and skill than I have is required to fix the seating position and dashboard correctly (assuming you are building a RHD Group N), and also the body of the STi does not fit over the rollcage perfectly. As you can see in the photos the front end of the body sits too high, as the roof is touching the rollcage, giving the car the wrong ride height. With this in mind, using a tarmac-spec WRC kit may have been better afterall, rather than the gravel-spec kit I used.

The quality of the Studio 27 decals was excellent. In fact the side decals were by far the best Studio 27 decals of this size that I have ever worked with. Perhaps the colour is not quite right, but it is not too bad. If I ever had the time I would consider the tarmac-spec Alpine Rally car that can be made from the same decal set - less modification required and the Group A car looks nice in tarmac-spec. I used gravel wheels from a Hasegawa Lancia Delta kit, as they more closely match those used by Possum in Rally Aus.

Well, enough rambling, here are some photos. Sorry about the indoor shots, the weather in my part of the UK has not been conducive to outdoor photography lately!

Great work Grant! Could you have trimmed up the front of the chassis for a better fit somehow?
The yellow on the S27 decals looks pretty good in your photos.

Excellent Grant. Great to see another Possum car completed. Would love to get a PM from you re - all the traps with this conversion so I don't get caught when I do mine next year. How much do you reckon the cage would have to be dropped to enable it to fit.
Cheers
Tony

It was here in Aus as well. THe only time it changed towards the end was Rally NZ 2003 when his plate had ROJ 2.
