How fast does a base mitsubishi 3000GT go?

Hello I recently bought a 1995 mitsubishi 3000GT. I was just wondering how fast they go?

ive had mine up to 145 and still had pep.

a base going 145 with pep? I find that hard to believe

had my to 175

i had mine going 317 mph with alot of "PEP" left.

i really got my 94' N/A to 130mph but that was close to red line

he wants to know base speed, not vr4 mike...

i got a base auto i was acing my boss 95-96 impala ss in a highway and i did 135mph no lie its stock but he beat me but i beat my buddys maxima it was cool

I've had mine up to 140, enough power/gear left to go faster but it takes a while for a base to get going that fast so physical space is the real problem.

145 running at 5grand with some more to spare

the auto should have a higher top speed than the manual due to longer gears. Leland that used to work at 3sx had a base auto up to 155 before, so that would be my guess on top speed of an auto, and probably 145-150 on a manual.

I had my SOHC up to 140 once, coulda made it faster but exit was coming up. Only did that once right after I got the car. It will see 130 every once in a while screwing around. Dont feel like pushing it extremely hard anymore.

AHAHAHAHAAA that was funny man. Naw, but I think I've taken mine up to like 100/110 range, and didn't wanna push it ne higher cuz I'm too much of a defensive driver... ne one know a cure for that?????

I've noticed that at very high speeds (over 125 or so) pressure starts to build up inside the cabin and my moon roof starts to raise up and air goes whistling out, shuting the vents helps but then it just starts to whistle at 130. Thats one of the things that keeps me from going faster because it freaks me out, probably alot of lift on the car at those speeds too.

Yea, but the active aero'll eliminate that problem rite... the lift? I mean on a VR-4

whan it on i can not tell the diff. i just hte whan you get up like 150 and hit alittle bump it fells like you are juping 10 feet in the air.

I've seen a little vid of somone going over a little hill in a 3S and they got airborne lol, funny stuff.

I got airborne a few weeks ago. I was following my friends VR4 and he took off really fast knowing the raod we were on. I didnt so I punched to catch up as best I could. I went thru the dip so fast and topped out I almost lost my lunch. I thought for sure the car was done for. When he saw my headlights bouncing he slowed down. LOL

top speed is 160.. i've been 135... and my friend had his up to 145 before he had to slam on his breaks and smash into traffic at 55mph.. not pretty i saw the whole thing... he didn't get hurt cuzz the 3s is a tank.. but it was the scariest ish ever...

mike, take your car up to 150 and change lanes a couple times, then turn it on and feel the difference.
