check engine light

Since I have owned my 96 Camry the check engine light comes on for a short period then goes off. It actually went off for the longest period of time when I put in Chevron Supreme gas. Then my wife put in a nother brand of gas and it's back on. Why would fuel cause the check engine light to go off. Thanks,

Are you replacing the gas cap securely? Be sure you are both tightening it 3 clicks.
