2001 Astro Catalytic Converter

I received the bad news that the catalytic converter on my 2001 Astro needs to be replaced. At 90 000 miles the guarantee on the part has expired. No generics available and the new one is priced at around $700! HELP!

Is that retail? and installed ?? I'll check with friend @ GM. It may take a few dats.

Where are you? So Cal, $180 for an aftermarket cat and muffler installed. Check all the muffler shops in your area.
