Trying to keep my CRX running well. Already tried basic tune up with no change. Symptoms are: when accelerating motor chokes for a few seconds then adjusts and picks up speed. Cleaned EGR (computer indication) trying to repair or diagnose before outlay of money. Tried injector cleaner, some better from all of above,but...no. Next try troubleshoot tests on throttle sensor...suggestions appreciated. Car has shown this problem for several years of ownership (3) slowly getting worse. Work done so far, new exhaust manifold, O2 sensor, new ac compressor and thats all. 200,000 mi. See hole developing muffler.

Could be the TPS Throttle position sensor. With the key on engine off probe the connector's middle wire (while connected) with the voltmeter's +(pos) and attach the -(neg) to a ground. Open the throttle slowly very slowly and watch the voltmeter for a position where the voltage drops off. If it doesn't it's good.
