Coming out of Iraq/Kuwait, I find that I have no car now, and alot of tax free cash built up. ;)

However, I am a bit behind on some of the more recent cars, specs, prices, etc.

These cars have stuck out, and I was wondering what you would choose if you had the choice.. Im looking for performance first, but I am also looking at how nice the car might be, interior and such.

Any input on these cars, their performance, and what the aftermarket part outlook on them might be to increase performance, would be appreciated. Thanks.

Pontiac GTO
Mitsubishi Evolution RS or MR
Infiniti G35 (Whats the price range on this and the TSX?)
Acura TSX

I think you should get a Corvette or you might have to change you're name. :smokin:

The Evo is certainly not a nice car, but it's extremely fast for the money and the aftermarket is huge. It gets my vote.

for the G35 the sedan is between 28,000 and 32,000...the coupe is between 30 and 32,000...the TSX is between 27,000 and 29,000

I would take the G35 because it has performance and the nicest interior look... mods wise GReddy has a TT kit for the G35 and 350Z....thats honestly all the performance you need

Choices for me are only between the G35 Coupe and the Evo MR...

If you want style and some speed, go w/the G35 Coupe...close to 300HP, 6 manual available, and plenty of options in the aftermarket since it shares so much w/the 350Z

If you want just speed, dont care about comfort, and want a better handling car...the MR is my choice...has more than 300HP, the styling on the outside is great, inside is ok (it's a sports car), handles VERY well, and has a very good aftermarket too.

If you were mostly just looking for performance, then I would say go for the EVO MR!!! But the interior of the EVO MR is not as impressive as the G35, GTO, or even the TSX. It's comfortable enough, but when you pay $35K for the EVO MR, it's not the interior that you are paying for, but the performance. None of the cars in your poll are even close to matching the EVOs all around performance. Still if comfort is also very important to you, then I would say the EVO may be alittle raw for you. Both the G35 Coupe and GTO are getting more power for 2005, so there performance will only get better. The G35 is schedule to have an optional engine making 298HP I believe an increase of 18HP over the 2004 model. The new sportier G35 Coupe also get's a revised suspension to increase handling capabilities. The GTO also will receive a bumb of HP to 400HP, up 50HP from the 2004 model. It also will receive a more aggressive look. So if your looking for just performance and a good (but not impressive) interior, then go for the EVO, it's potential for even more HP and numbers is great. If your looking for the best combination of performance and comfort, then I'd have to say go with the GTO. What about the TSX, LOL.

since you like vettes, you should get the vette with a back seat, the GTO

Car & Driver had the 2005 Mustang GT beating the 350 hp GTO in the 1/4 mile for around $7,000 less. Plus with the Mustang you get a car that looks like a Mustang, not a car that looks like a 2-3 year old Grand Prix :)

I agree with you 100%. Of the cars listed though I would go with the Evo, it's already got a pretty strong aftermarket and from what I hear handles like a dream. Also it's got AWD for some nasty launches. :naughty:

I like the GTO more than the mustang though because of it has an IRS

i think you should go with the g35, you get both performance and luxury, can't go better than that.
