Rust Covered?

I bought a 2001 4WD V6 Sante Fe from it's original owner 1 year ago and it had about 26,000 miles on it. It is generally in great shape - but I noticed this summer that the chrome trim rings around the fog lights have rusted badly. I was going to visit the local junkyard to find some replacements - but I thought I read something about rust coverage under the factory warranty on these. I wondered if anyone knows anything about this? Exactly what is covered if anything? More importantly, is that coverage transferrable to a 2nd owner? Thanks!
