Not sure how i managed this

I got home pretty early last night(around 10), which is earlier than the 4:40AM that i had gotten home that morning. Anyway my parents were still up and pretty active about the house.... Well about an hour before, i had just finished my 8th bottle of PBR, and smoked 2 bowls with my friends, then somehow managed to drive my happy ass back to my house, which is a 30 minute drive through town and country roads...I met my dad at the door to the kitchen, not good, he asked if i had been drinking, i said in the clearest voice possible "No, i wouldn't have driven home if i did remember." And it worked!! He stayed in the kitchen with me as i proceeded to eat 2 sandwiches, 5 wings, and 2 glasses of pop, god i had the munchies, then i had to survive talking to my mom, and she knows what marijuana smells like(her friends in high school did a lot of drugs, she claims she never did though) so i had to be pretty cautious with her. I kept my distance and managed to speak pretty clearly and intelligently around her and finally was able to change in my room and get on AF, i'm still looking for things i may have written online last night around or after 10, so i'm sorry if i wrote anything offensive to anyone. Anyway, moral of the story is, if you drink and smoke weed, come home after they go to bed so you dont put yourself in my situation. God i can't wait to get my own place....In town!!

for some reason, if i am confronted by my parents while in a state of intoxication (by whatever form), i can instantly become sober and talk to them as if nothing was different. they've never been the wiser.

Yeah i hear that. I mean, it's not like my parents could ground me or anything, i just can't afford to move out on my own so early, if you know what i mean.

man if you guys actually think your getting away with anything your dead wrong. Just cause they dont say anything to you doesnt mean they dont know. Josh for all you know, your parents were just testing your honesty. If you smoke pot and drink 8 PBRS (nasty cheap beer) anyone will be able to tell your fucked up. Just cause while your high you cant smell the pot coming off you, doesnt mean no one else can.
Parents arent as dumb as you think, they know its your life and you can do what you want with it, they just try and steer you in the right direction. If you start lieing to them, they wont trust you. And lieing about what you did that night, its way to easy to see through it. Your better off telling the truth, atleast then you wont lose their trust and if you really do need to lie to them, it will be alot easier if you have a clean record as for lieing.

not true. if my parents so much as smelt marijuana on me, even if it was someone else who had smoked it and not me, i'd be out on my ass in a second. my dad nearly kicked me out when he found out i smoked cigars occasionally, so i can't imagine how he'd react if he found out i smoked weed. therefore they've been none the wiser so far or else i'd be out of the house or severly reprimanded. when it comes to drinking, however, they don't care as long as i don't drive.

Very true. One night I went to my friends house and had 3 cans of Pepsi and vodka. Then I went home, and acted as normal as I could. I didnt even feel drunk. I talked to my dad, like usual, and went to bed. The next morning he came in and said, how much did you drink last night. I said what are you talking about. And he said, are you serious? I couldnt understand a word you said when you came in, and you almost fell over when you went into your room.
Moral of that story: While it may seem like you feel totally sober, its probably just your mind, and your acting a bit on the funny side. Luckily, he's cool and never told my mom.

Started well, lost the plot in the last sentence.Parents aren't stupid. They probably thought they were fooling their own parents when they did it,too.........

No Jayson, my parents aren't like that. My dad kicked down the door in my room when i made a smart assed comment to my mom that made her cry one night. My dad about gave me a beat down that night, that was some scary shit. If they knew i had smoked weed or drank, well i dont think i would be on this computer talking to you right now, because i would be out on my ass looking for a place to live.
Edit: Well probably not so much the drinking part, but drinking and smoking weed, and then driving home.... Even i admit now that it was retarded..

I only need brain cells for one more semester anyway, then i become a lifeless work force zombie for the rest of my life....so yeah, i'm gonna have some fun before i'm required to grow up. And this is only the 3rd time i've smoked the stuff so i haven't killed a whole lot that way, now alcohol on the other hand, that's becoming a problem.
I keep getting lucky with the whole driving thing, i do need to stop before my luck runs out.

I've held numerous phone conversations, and face-to-face talks with mum whilst maggotted
I've also done it to the cops on the street (out side the pub, I was 18, that was halarious, they did a breath test on me just for fun :D) and I've managed to solve a chemistry problem smashed.

Well in a total roll reversal, I came home late from work one night, walked around the house, no parents, thats strange, looked in the back garden to find my parents and a bunch of there friends having a BBQ, all stoned out of there brains with a severe attack of the giggles. My Dad rolled one up and I sat there smoking with my parents, possibly the strangest night of my life but a night I will never forget.

hahaha I've done that many times when I lived at home. Get home, play cool and go to bed ASAP. or head straight for the shower and then bed. I always just tried to avoid my mom. My dad knew and he didn't care, but my mom if she ever knew I was drinking she'd kill me.
I never did pot and still haven;t. just ain't my thing.
But dude you really should stop drinking and driving or smoking weed and driving. I've lucked out twice and thats enough for me. Once I was going down I-5 (major freeway in western washington) and I just happened to notice a glint of light up ahead in the median and I was gonig 75 in a 60 and so I slowed down to 65 and when Igot close enough I saw it was a cop sitting there with a radar on with no lights or anything. I was fucking lucky.
Another time I had to drive about 40 minutes home with a bunch of drunk friends and I was drunk too. I passed a couple cops sitting on the side of the roads doing whatever.
I won't ever do that again, it isn't worth the huge lecture from my husband, the fines I'd get, etc. Just ain't worth it to me.

Just because everybody is doing it? If you're only getting drunk or high because everybody is doing it, you're a geek, you should enjoy whatever you do.
Waste of Money: In your opinion it is, but if you're paying to do something you like, then how is that a waste of money? It's like paying to go on a good ride at an amusement park, are you wasting your money there cause you have nothing at the end?
Josh i've done that so many times too LOL I wouldnt of even stayed to eat the food, would of just gave them more time to read me.
But as long as i'm not completely fucked up... i can get through it

I hope you aren't driving on your parents' insurance or even listing their address as yours. Because when you finally get busted, THEIR insurance rates will skyrocket, their address will be on file as a drug-house, and all sorts of things are going to happen to THEM that they won't even hear about until they try to get a loan or re-mortgage. But Hey, it's all aboout yOU having fun.

Ok why would their address be on file as a drug house? And if thats true what if say you move and buy a house that used to house known druggies? Does your address still stay as a drug house?
And why would that affect them trying to get a loan or remortgage or something? If he's over 18 I can't see how it'd affect them other than making their insurance rates go up if he's under their name.
Please explain that to me.

Except you guys are all forgetting a few things:
1. When you drink and drive, you could kill somebody, face fines, go to jail, bottom line: you loose if you get caught
2. If you get addicted to alcohol or other drugs, it will cost you a lot of money to support your addiction

I pay for my own insurance, my own gas, the buick is payed off, up until next semester i was paying for my own tuition, my own books, my own lawyers fee's for my last speeding tickets to get them to non moving violations, my own food, i've paid all the interest on my student loan... im with sexy angle on this one. Drinking and smoking is all fun and living just barely escaping punishment, but once you do get caught and you will, it all turns to hell. Take it from someone who got arrested for drinking and driving and done so many stupid things while i was drunk i cant even name them all off. Drinking causes alot more problems then whats its worth. The ONLY time i drink now is if im at home and know i wont get myself into trouble or have to drive anywhere. But pot is still the greatest drug ever.
