trouble with dash lights/tail lights

ok guys/gals heres the deal
dash lights went out (analog) ash tray light out - while I was changing fuse (which didn't fix the problem) I found out that the tail lights, license plate light, parking lights, side corner lights and chime for lights on also didn't work ( found fuse for these changed it, still nothing) any ideas anyone can give would be greatly appreciated - don't have alot of money and need to get at least the tail lights fixed or no inspection sticker and tickets - I've heard mention of headlight dimmer switch (where is this), power fuse again where is this) help

thanks everyone for all your help - I found out where the parts are and someone else suggested I change the headlight switch on the dash - any other ideas?

I have this problem, no dash, no tail, parking, etc. It is not the fuse!!
