they have a few articles about it, and honda might have made a concept crx, but i don't think it'll go into production anytime soon
you know...toyota has lexus as their luxury line and scion as their new line. Honda only has acura, i think they need to make a new line of cars and try out some new designs. If they do that, then maybe you'll see a crx lookalike

That first pic just a poorly done photoshop pic. I saw a much bigger pic of it about 2 years ago, and you could tell it was fake. Look at how the front wheel is tilted, you can even see that in that small pic.
And it's been 7 years since the last of the Del Sols were made, I don't recall Honda ever stopping production on a car for a long period of time and then starting up again. I doubt it will ever happen.

yep-the first pic in the link is def. photoshopped.
The one below it, despite the fact its the "Official CRX concept" it looks like a small RSX!

Besides why would you want them to bring it back. Its kind of like if they bring it back they must improve on the "legend" or make it better.
Look what happens when they try to bring back a GTO!!! Yeah GM screwed up a legend with crappy car!
I think CRX's are best made one generation and stopped!

i kinda figured people just got a little ahead of themselves with all this may see a production car in 2005. the thign about the insight i have been thinkin that that was like crx part deux for a while (at least in looks) i guess its unfortunate that there will never be a new crx but its more fun to put whatever engine honda would put in the new one into my old one and make sure it comes out how i want it

I'm sure if they did ever make one it'd be a K-series motor.

If there ever was a new crx it would be based off the civic again more than likely, and have you looked at the new civics lately?

i look at the "new crx's" as the Insights. They do look pretty similiar atleast.
TheSilentChamber
11-14-2004, 11:21 PM
because its a two door sloped back hatch doenst mean they look similar. They have nothing in common, crx was designed to be a sports car, insight was designed to get gas milage and there not very sporty.

yea, the insights suck, but if they ever did make a new crx and they didn't fuck it up, I'd prolly get it

Also, isn't there supposed to be a new Civic for 2006? Maybe it will be like a trim of civic, such as the Civic Si, it might just be like a Civic CRX

Shouldnt be a new civic till 2008 based on there 4 year remodel plan they use. (every for years a model gets a redesign)
CivicSpoon

I read on some sites that they are supposed to redesign for late '05 or '06. I can't remember exactly which sites, maybe Car and Driver, but some were very reputable sites. But also the last change was in '01 and the models have been the same design since then, so that would be 4 years. And then there's the mystery of the '96-'98's and then the slight body changes in '99-'00.

wernt the 04's of new design?

hmmm...I thought they were the same, but I guess they are kind of different. Now that I look at them both it looks like the taillights and headlights might be a litle different. But the body looks the same, I could be wrong.

wernt the 04's of new design?
no, it was just a cosmetic update, same frame, engine, suspension, everything, just a little cosmetice change, same as they usually do, 88-89 vs. 90-91 civics for example.....the next generation should be coming out for the 2006 model year......there was a rumour going around temple of Vtec that there was going to be a performance surprise in the civic line, people there were speculating a new CRX, a friend I have who works at a dealership says its going to be a civic type R, either way, I will believe nothing until I see it at a major autoshow......

Honda Tuning (which I get every month) says there's a pretty good chance and alot of hype that Honda will be bringing a Type R civic to the US. But even if they do....
Like silent said it'll probably be a pussy version (like pretty much every honda we have vs their jdm counterparts)
and even if they do..it's not like I can afford one!
